I'm nervous you'll judge me for the current status of my space. Promise you won't judge me?
We are a JUDGEMENT-FREE ZONE! We hope to bring a little joy to this journey for you. Clutter and paring down can both bring up some BIG emotions, although they also can bring a new energy into your life as well. We are there with you - every choice is yours, and no judgement will be passed!
Why are you named Minimalish? Should I be scared that you'll try to make me a Minimalist?!
We like the play on the word Minimalist, but the 'ish' better describes our personal tidiness habits. We will support you on whatever stage of your decluttering and home organization journey you are on. Anything that we can do to support a calmer environment for you and your family, we are happy to do!
I'm not ready to do my entire house. I think I want to start small. Is that an option?
Absolutely! We have a 4-hour minimum for projects, but are happy to start small and work our way to the bigger fish!
Where do you take my donations?
We work with you to determine which local donation centers you'd like us to bring your donations to. We like to work with Dress for Success, the Kansas Humane Society, Helping Hands, Wichita Children's Home, Wichita Family Crisis Center, and HumanKind, to name a few. Each donation center has their own donation preferences, and we will coordinate that aspect of the donation.
I'm interested. What happens first?
After you reach out, you will have a short call with Kate, the founder, to answer some quick questions about your desired project and your goals. She will setup an in-person consultation with you. At the in-person consultation, she will take notes, ask LOTS of questions, get measurements and photos, and give you some ideas on what options there are for your space. (Note: Don't worry about cleaning up before she gets there! She wants to support you in your current space. There's no need to do extra work on your side!!)
I'm ready to book! Next steps?
After you consultation, Kate will send you a quote for the labor estimate for the job. When you decide to move forward, we'll collect a 50% deposit on the labor estimate, and a small retainer for the product purchases, if needed. Then, we'll get you on the schedule! For the quote for the labor estimate, we do our best to stay within the hours quoted. If we work faster than expected, you will save money - or you can choose to have us tackle another space while we are there.
My schedule is busy! Do I need to be there when you organize?
We get it! We are hoping this process will save you mental space and actual time in the future! We don't need you around for the entire project; however, we do need you, or a person you designate, to be able to answer questions as we sort your belongings. During the consultation, Kate will coordinate with you on details on how you want the space to function, so typically we can complete the home organization process with minimal interruption on your end.
